I am Rima Shalabi, the teacher of the K4 class. I have been a full time teacher at As-Sabeel Academy since January 2010.
I was born and raised in Jordan. I also completed my education in Jordan. I came to the United States in 1998. I have been married for 12 years.
I enjoy being a teacher because I truly appreciate seeing children learn and progress. My past work experience consists of me being a co-director of a home daycare with my mother-in-law. I worked alongside my mother-in-law for 10 years, and during that time I taught children from the ages of 2 months to 7 years. I also have been a Sunday school teacher of Islamic studies for the past 3 years.
Currently, I also teach Qur’an in my home to approximately 25 child and adult students. In my spare time, I enjoy watching Islamic television shows, taking swimming lessons, cooking, and taking care of my home. Alhamdulillah, I was fortunate enough last year to complete Hajj in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.
