Backpacks and blankets. Two simple items that most of us use everyday without much of a thought. For a homeless person, a blanket means staying warm through a winter night, and a backpack is a way to carry your belongings. Through their “Spread the Warmth” campaign, As-Sabeel Academy’s Beta Club collected more than 150 backpacks and blankets which were donated to Upstate Housing Connections who will deliver them to local homeless people this month.
